The FUJI GT 500KM RACE, Round 3 of the 2008 AUTOBACS SUPER GT, took place at Fuji Speedway (one lap 4.563 km x 110 laps) in Shizuoka Pref. on May 4, and victory was won by the ZENT CERUMO SC430 driven by Yuji Tachikawa and Richard Lyons for the first time this season.
Tachikawa and the ZENT CERUMO SC430 have had many successes at Fuji Speedway, but yesterday they had to settle for 2nd place in the qualifying as the pole position was taken by the TAKATA DOME NSX. Man Robs Game Stop for GTA IV
By chairman of the bored on 2008-04-29, 21:58:48 MDT
A 27-yr old San Diego man maced employees at the local Game Stop and ran off with a few copies of the Grand Theft Auto IV game released this week. The suspect surrendered to police at a nearby Japanese restaurant moments later.
The moron should have ran straight home and popped in the game. Unfortunately, he could face felony robbery charges for this incident.
This game looks awesome but fork out the $60 and buy it or just steal the money from your mom to get it.
Best Motoring Rally Evo vs Tuned S2000

New BMI impressions...We got a chance to check out the new Best Motoring DVD
last nite and were impressed. The Touge Showdown segment was excellent as usual
but it seemed like Keiichi always gets to drive the fastest car and usually
has some kind of an advantage in all of these segments....hmmmm.
The K20A battle features some serious hybrid muscle with the Spoon Civic EK9
and J's Racing Fit GT both outfitted with the K20A motor. Here are some screenshots
from the DVD. Get it at 247motoring.com.
Formula D Round 3 Moves to Englishtown
By press release on 2008-04-29, 15:12:35 MDT
For immediate release
April 28, 2008
LONG BEACH, Calif. – April 28, 2008 – Formula DRIFT Round 3: The Gauntlet has been relocated to New Jersey’s Englishtown Raceway in Englishtown on June 14, 2008. The change of venue is due to the previously announced closing of Wall Township Speedway.
The closure of Wall Speedway only impacts the location for Formula DRIFT Round 3: The Gauntlet. The event will be held on its originally scheduled date of June 14. Englishtown Raceway’s 1.35-mile Road Course will provide the backdrop for the drifting track and will offer drivers and fans a unique course that will host its first major drifting competition.
“The selection of Englishtown not only provides an ideal location for the world’s top drifters to compete, but brings a major championship to this historic raceway,” said Jim Liaw, president and co-founder of Formula DRIFT. “By moving the event to Englishtown, we were able to keep our original schedule and we are confident fans will experience a very entertaining event.”
Ticket prices start at $25 and Formula DRIFT will also be offering reserved seating. Reserved seating will save a purchased seat for the entire event so fans will not have to worry about losing their seat. General admission and reserved seating tickets can be purchased online at www.formuladrift.com.
WRC Rally Jordan Results
By chairman of the bored on 2008-04-28, 15:50:43 MDT
BP-Ford Abu Dhabi team driver Mikko Hirvonen wins the inaugural WRC Jordan Rally and stands atop the 2008 drivers’ championship; 5 points ahead of Sebastien Loeb. His teammate Jari-Matti Latvala didn't fair so well and lost the lead after his car’s suspension broke on SS18, costing him 50 seconds. He ended the rally in 7th place.
“It’s fantastic! And very good news for our title fight,” said Hirvonen. “But that last stage was so nerve racking; I had no split times on Dani and no idea how fast he was going. I’m really happy to win and take the 10 points - it makes up for my result in Argentina. Sebastien is still a big threat though. He was very fast here, so we need to find some more speed for the next events.”
Citroen
Dani Sordo spun out near the start of the final stage but still managed to finish 2nd for Citroen. As a result, Sordo gains a spot in the drivers' championship and currently sits in 5th place.
"I did all I could to recover the lead but it wasn't enough," reported Dani. "Even
so, I am pleased with our performance this weekend. We led on two occasions and I was
delighted with my feeling at the wheel of the Citroën C4 WRC from start to finish. The rally
was quite stressful but it was also beneficial for me. I'm sure the experience will come in
useful on the forthcoming events."
Reigning WRC champion Sebastien Loeb got in an accident with another driver on one of the road sections on Day 2 but was able to restart on the final day and use the time to do some further test on the car. He finishes in 10th place.
